DATSA TEXTIL started out in 2004, initially as a Swedish–Romanian venture. It is located about 100 km from Bucharest, in Buzau, at the heart of southeastern Romania, an area known for its tradition in knitwear manufacturing. Since December of 2014, Mrs. Sara Wechsler, one of the founders, became the sole owner, making the company 100% Romanian, owned and run by her and the second generation of the family. DATSA employs close to 100 people, mostly women, who through constant learning and with the help of technological improvements produce garments that meet the strictest and most diverse requirements of major customers across Europe.
