Company was founded in 1974 by Rod and Joan MacGregor by bringing live lobsters from Maine to New York City restaurants. They employ about 68 people in the US. The Lobster Place Wholesale is primarily engaged in preparing fresh and raw or cooked frozen fish and other seafoods and seafood preparations. Since their merger with Gourmet Cargo, Lobster Place now features gourmet foods as well. They serve Michelin-starred restaurants, fast casual chains, hospitality groups, and cruise lines.
